Destiny Determinants: God's Branding



Just as Satan and his agents can place a mark on someone and thereafter determine the fellow's future, so also does God brand His own. God's branding however could be positive or negative depending on your stand with Him, attitude and level of obedience.

When Cain appealed against the judgment from Heaven's court, God put a mark on him to insure him against any murder attempt from those he would meet afterwards (Gen. 4:13-15). That was a mark of life. You too can have a mark of life which will insure you, your family, ministry and business against death of any kind. Similarly, the Psalmist tells us there is a mark of peace upon the one who strives for perfection (Ps. 37:37).

According to today's reading, there is a mark of salvation upon the righteous. By this mark,they are delivered from destruction. Apostle Paul says because of the mark of Christ physically inflicted on him, he is insured against troubles of men (Gal. 6:17). When last were you physically assaulted for your faith in Christ? It is when God places His positive mark on you that His goodness and mercy begin to follow you wherever you go and as long as you live. The moment such marks are upon you, you will become a spiritual no go area, a territory totally separated unto God, and '^dreaded by Satan and his cohorts. You can also benefit from the positive branding if you humbly learn under a true spiritual father and live an exemplary life (Col. 3:17). But those who are negatively branded by God would attract judgement on themselves.

May you never attract marks that will destroy you in Jesus name. Romans 16:17-18 says the fellow who causes division and misunderstanding in the church of God is a candidate of negative mark. Those pulling down instead of building the church and men of God, can by their negative marks erode the blessings of (Joel earlier reserved for them. What marks are operating in your life today? Art you attracting the blessings or the curses? You are the determinant of your destiny Make amends today. Repent of wrong doing and ask God to positively brand you. your family and everything about you today.
